The 6800 Zoom is sleek and chic, with an aluminum-magnesium alloy body that feels both premium and sturdy. The F.A. Porsche design brings smooth, sculpted lines and a distinctive burred metallic mode dial that sits proudly at the top rear of the camera. The body is well-built and solid, with a smooth front panel protected by a sliding metal lens cover that retracts when powered on.

THE SPECS

Inside, the 6800 Zoom uses a 3.3-megapixel Super CCD sensor that interpolates to produce 6-megapixel images at 2,832 × 2,128 pixels. The fast f/2.8 Super EBC Fujinon 3× optical zoom lens covers a 36–108mm equivalent range with macro capability down to 7.8 inches. The 2-inch LCD and optical viewfinder handle composition, while images are stored on SmartMedia cards. The included cradle serves as a docking station for USB transfer, battery charging, and even webcam functionality.
