THE CAMERA IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION FOR ITS AGE. THE SILVER BODY HAS ONE SMALL SPOT ON THE UPPER SIDE BUT IS OTHERWISE CLEAN WITH MINIMAL WEAR. THE RUBBER SLOT COVER SHOWS SLIGHT AGING BUT REMAINS FUNCTIONAL. THE LCD SCREEN IS CLEAR. THE LENS IS PERFECT AND CLEAR. ALL FUNCTIONS WORK PERFECTLY INCLUDING SHOOTING, MEGA O.I.S. STABILIZATION, BABY MODE, SCENE MODES, AND ALL BUTTONS. INCLUDES FULL BOX SET WITH ALL ORIGINAL ACCESSORIES. A WELL-PRESERVED EXAMPLE OF PANASONIC'S 2006 ENTRY-LEVEL COMPACT FROM THE HEIGHT OF THE AA-BATTERY ERA.
Panasonic's Lumix DMC-LS2 arrived in early 2006 as proof that you could get genuine optical image stabilization in an affordable entry-level camera if you were willing to accept some tradeoffs elsewhere. Panasonic's MEGA O.I.S. technology was still relatively exotic in 2006, and bringing it to the budget market was genuinely impressive. The Baby mode that recorded the child's age on images and support for Panasonic's high-capacity Oxyride AA batteries made it practical for parents who wanted steady shots without carrying proprietary chargers everywhere.

THE LOOKS
The LS2 has a compact, straightforward design with smooth plastic surfaces in silver. At 110.5 × 53.5 × 30.9mm and 138 grams it's genuinely pocketable, and the 2-inch LCD on the back provides a clear if small window for composition. A mode dial on top gives quick access to scene modes, and the overall aesthetic is functional rather than flashy—this camera wants to do a job, not make a statement.
THE SPECS
The LS2 uses a 5-megapixel 1/2.5-inch CCD sensor with ISO 80 to 400. The Lumix DC Vario 3× optical zoom covers 35-105mm equivalent with f/2.8-5.6 aperture and MEGA O.I.S. optical image stabilization. Venus Engine Plus LSI processor enables burst shooting at 3fps in high-speed mode. The 2-inch TFT LCD has 86,000-dot resolution with High Angle mode for overhead shooting. Thirteen scene modes, exposure compensation, and unlimited consecutive shooting mode handle various situations. Runs on two AA batteries.
