The Photography Blog sample shot confirms f/3.5 at wide. The T77 shares lens and sensor with the T700, and the T200 was f/3.5–4.4 — the T77 is the same generation. I'll note f/3.5 wide confirmed; tele end is f/4.4 based on T700/T200 family consistency, which I'll use. Also confirmed: sensor is 1/2.5" Super HAD CCD (same as T700), folded optics means no extending barrel, no HD video (VGA only), 15MB internal. Colors: brown, green, pink, black, silver. THE LOOKS
The green finish is electric — a saturated, almost lime metallic that catches light in a way the silver and black siblings simply don't. The body is 93.6 × 57.2 × 15mm, all metal, with a flat front panel made possible by the internally stacked lens, and the entire back is taken up by the 3-inch widescreen LCD. There are almost no physical controls visible anywhere. Also available in brown, pink, black, and silver.

DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS
- 13.9mm thin through folded optics: The lens is vertically stacked inside the body — no extending barrel, no protrusion, just a flush front panel that makes the T77 genuinely pocket-flat in a way that zoom cameras typically aren't.
- Entire back panel as touchscreen: With the 3-inch 16:9 LCD filling the rear, there are virtually no physical buttons on the back — the interface is the surface, which in 2008 was still a bold way to build a camera.
- Metallic green in a family of silver and black: Sony offered five colors, but the electric green is the one that reads as a design statement — the T77 treated itself as an accessory, not just a tool.
THE VERDICT
The T77 is a camera that won on form first and asked you to decide later whether the function was good enough. For most people shooting in decent light, it was. The 10-megapixel CCD, Zeiss glass, and Super SteadyShot deliver solid results for what was essentially a fashion compact, and the touchscreen interface holds up surprisingly well. But what makes the T77 worth collecting now is the same thing that made it worth buying in 2008: nothing else was this thin with this much zoom, and it looked like it knew that.
